Doctor Visit

So, I had a doctor visit yesterday.. The baby was doing wonderfully.. The baby was all stretched with an arm behind his head, while using my bladder as a pillow.. Now that explains the inability to get through an hour without going to the bathroom. But....we got an adorable picture of his foot. I also had some concerns that because they could only see from the back, that the baby was not a boy. But......after the sono yesterday.....it is definitely a boy.... I am so relieved. Don't get me wrong, little girls are wonderful. In fact I have three sisters.... but they are also full of hormones and can be extremely difficult....I just don't have the patience for the girls....I am such a boy momma. I love my son and am excited to have another one.... The other side of yesterday is blood pressure...mine is a little high so we are watching closely. I will be in every two weeks here for a little bit to double check and make sure I am doing okay.. I am praying for a one time only high reading.....we will see...back to the doctor today...

Zanisms

Okay with the new baby coming Zander has asked and said some very interesting things...

Zan: Is the mailman going to bring the baby? Me: No Zan: Oh, is the Fedex man?

Zan: (after much sickness for me) are you going to throw up the baby? Me: no, I was sick with you too... Zan: you threw me up?

At the doctors office to the nurse: Nurse: do you have any name ideas? Zan: the baby's name is toilet....

From the back view it appears we are having a boy, but we are not for sure yet...Zan has always thought it is a girl.. so...at the sonogram
Nurse: I think it might be a boy. Zan: well, where did the girl go?

I know there have been more.. It seems like every day he has a new idea..

Has it been forever?????

Well, once again it has been a long time since I have been on here... The main reason is that I have spent pretty much the entire year working through the fertility process....And....it worked!!!! I am due on May 21....and I am so excited.....and I am soooooo sick......I need to find a few sewing patterns for blankets, burp cloths, and the like.... I am training for DCFS like a mad woman...two times a week right now.. It is tiring, but definitely rewarding.

Zander is growing by leaps and bounds.... He is going to preschool now and loving it...He talks about his teacher all the time... Sometimes I think that he would do what she says over what I would say. I am glad that he is having such a wonderful time and has moved passed so much of the anxiety that he has had in the past.... He is excited about being a big brother, and wants to buy all sorts of things for the baby (so do I).

Nathan is crazy at work....It has been a hard year, but I am hoping that he will get moved soon. Then maybe he will be in a better mood when he gets ready for work.

So for now...I need to get started organizing....Our house is an old farmhouse and not very big...but I have tons of closet space... What happens when you have lots of closets...you fill them all.. I need to get rid of the junk and start making room to organize for more than one child....

Easter and Cleaning..

We had a great Easter! I am starting to feel like myself again. The husband will be happy that I am getting back on top of things at the house. I now need to organize all of my craft fun. I have a scarf and headband in the process of being knitted. I would love to pull out all my card making supplies tonight........We will see..... I can't wait until Saturday afternoon and another card making party..... Now, if it would just warm up a little, so Zander would stop going crazy......

Tired

It seems like forever since I have blogged, but things have been crazy....... We made it through Christmas, a third miscarriage, and my son's 3rd birthday. A lot of threes this year. We have begun the fertility process and I must say that it is not very fun..... Hopefully, we will have some answers when we are done. I have found a great organization through it all, though:Women helping Women. What a great ministry that provides such amazing support.... It is and will be a great time of growing for me......I look forward to the final outcome for myself spiritually as well as the possible ability to have another healthy pregnancy....

Tis' The Season

It is the time of year where things are just crazy. I have been so busy this month that I am starting to dream about what needs to get done next. Yesterday my friend Carrie, another teacher, and I had our students perform Christmas pieces at one of the local nursing homes. They did a great job, despite the piano being extremely out of tune (Samuel Music saved us and brought out a keyboard), the people from the nursing home talking and singing throughout their songs, and the horrible headache that I had all day. But..... what a good experience for everyone and I know that people at the home were able to enjoy all of the adorable children and their wishes for a wonderful holiday.

The night before that my mother-in-law took the family to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It was an amazing concert!!! It was a perfect description of my husband and I : rock and classical. It is the first concert we have attended together that we both enjoyed!!!

Today, I must finish knitting three scarves and hopefully get the house back under control after my husband and Zander spent the day together yesterday. So... I must get started...

The Bloomington Children's Museum

This was great, because the kids could paint on the walls and then clean it all up!!

This is the little turkey hat that Zander made. Although, I am a bad mommy. I set it down on a counter and forgot to bring it home. I am glad that I have a picture of it. We will make another one for Thanksgiving.

Zander in the combine. He only liked it for a minute. The interactive part of the combine made the seat vibrate, which scared him a bit.

I think that he would have stayed here all day, if I would have let him...

These are all from the Bloomington Children's Museum. It is fabulous. We had such a great time and plan on going back once a month through the winter. There were so many things for Zander to do. He loved the train table, the craft area, and any of the cause and effect activities. He is such the left brained child, once again, just like his daddy.
